Beware !

If this is the first time that you have ever booked a DJ or Disco please read this page very carefully. It is not meant as a scare tactic, but helpful advice on the pitfalls that are all too common in the Mobile Disco industry.
Professional DJ's are called professional for a reason.
There are some amateurs out there. Bedroom DJ's, wannabe DJ's and have-a-go hobbyists trying their hand at doing discos, often with disasterous results. In doing so they are giving the Mobile Disco industry a bad name.

These amateurs will try to undercut us with very cheap rates and tend to offer the following :-
  • Some have very little or no experience whatsoever.
  • Some are only 13 or 14 years old.
  • Some have no public liability insurance at all.
  • Some have cheap, budget, inadequate, shoddy looking equipment that not only looks unsafe but is sometimes homemade!
  • Their equipment is therefore unlikely to be PAT tested for electrical safety.
  • They may not have backup equipment in the event of failure.
  • They may have a very limited music collection, copied cds or MP3's illegally downloaded from the internet.
  • They are known to cancel at the last minute if they get a better paid gig elsewhere.
  • They will deliberately double book themselves, then try to get another disco to do it so they can earn a commission.

Book a Professional !

  • We have 20 years experience in the entertainment industry.
  • We have £1 Million Liability Insurance.
  • We have the very latest in new high quality sound and lighting equipment so breakdowns are very unlikely.
  • All our equipment is PAT tested for electrical safety where required.

There are an increasing number of landlords and venue managers that will not allow a disco to set up in their building unless they can prove that they are Public Liability Insured, their equipment is Electrically Safety Tested and they are old enough to work in a licensed premises.

What would you do if the venue refuses to let your DJ set up on the night.
Or if the lighting stand collapses and injures someone.
Or if the dodgy homemade lighting box trips the electrics in the venue.
Or if the cheap speakers sound so harsh that they make your ears hurt.
Or if he doesn’t turn up at all !
